How Do I Use the Object List?

Keep full visibility over all your objects at all times.

Written by Maren Harre

The object list is the heart of your asset management in seventhings. Here you can find, filter, and edit all objects in one place, keeping full control over your entire inventory.

You open the detail view of an object by navigating to the Objects section in the menu bar. Then click the pencil icon, or double-click on the desired object. The detail view opens on the right-hand side.

In the three-dot menu at the top right of the detail view, you'll find all functions related to your object.

Here you can find more information on the individual functions:

Click into the central search bar at the top center to search your objects by specific criteria.

After clicking in, you can then choose whether to use Quick Search, Advanced Search, or Smart Search.

You can save your search — whether Quick Search or Advanced Search — so you have fast access to it even with extensive search criteria. Your saved searches appear in the dropdown menu next to the quick search bar.

To switch between active objects in stock and your objects in the archive, use the corresponding toggle switch.

If you'd like to change the columns in the list view (each user can set this individually), you can do so to the right of the search bar.
