This article only applies to the app: seventhings

In addition to adding new objects via the web application, you also have the option of adding them directly through the app.

Here's how it works:

Option 1 - Creating the objects via the dashboard

First open the app and log in with your personal login credentials.

After logging in, you will find yourself on the dashboard. Now select Create object.

A new data record will open. Then scan the label for the new object and fill in the data record with all other information. Enter the scan code, which you assign by scanning the label, and the object description as the minimum information.

Finally, confirm your entry with Save.

Option 2 - Creating the object via scanning

And it's that simple:

  • Open the app and log in

  • Navigate to the scan icon (3rd symbol in the lower navigation bar)

  • Make a preselection of the room you are in

Note

If you want to know how to make a preselection, click here.

Hold the camera in front of the label or scan code. If your smartphone has problems capturing the QR code, activate the torch in the top right-hand corner.

The detailed view of the object appears. You can now enter all relevant data, add pictures etc.. When you are finished, click Save.

Option 3 - Creating the object in the object overview

First open the app and log in with your personal login credentials.

After logging in, you will find yourself on the dashboard. Use the navigation bar to navigate to the object icon.

You will see the overview of all objects. Then navigate to the plus symbol (+) at the top right to add a new object.

A new data record opens. Scan the label for the new object and fill in the data with all other information. Enter the scan code, which you assign by scanning the label, and the object description as the minimum information.

Finally, confirm your entry with Save.
