The product catalog keeps asset templates in one central place. This helps you add similar objects faster and keep your data consistent. In the product catalog, you can store object details for items you own or plan to purchase multiple times. This saves time when adding objects and helps you avoid duplicate or inconsistent information. It’s especially useful when several people work with object data: a consistent data set makes searching and reporting easier.
When you add a new object, choose the matching entry from the searchable catalog instead of entering the same details again. You can then customize the record before saving it in your instance as a separate object.
Any user with the Add objects permission can use the catalog to create new objects. A separate section in permission management controls who can manage the product catalog.
