As an Asset Intelligence Platform, seventhings supports you not only in managing your company property but in controlling it intelligently. A central component of this strategy is the Circularity Hub. It helps you eliminate the “blind spot” at the end of a product’s lifecycle: instead of letting unused assets gather dust or disposing of them prematurely, you make them visible to others via the Hub and enable an uncomplicated transfer.
Please note:
The Circularity Hub is included as standard from the “Smart Asset Management” license level upwards. In lower license levels, you can book it as an add-on. Please contact us here.
To start the setup, navigate to the Circularity item in the menu bar of the web version and then to Configuration.
Important:
To be allowed to perform configurations in the Circularity Hub and to pass on or order assets, there are three different user permissions. You can find out how to assign these individually or for specific roles in our Help Center articles.
Here, you can now adjust settings to handle the transfer process professionally and in a legally secure manner.
Email Communication
First, define a central order email address. The entire exchange runs through this address: as soon as an interested party requests an asset, this email address (we recommend creating a dedicated email distribution list for this) is informed directly and can initiate the next steps.
Legal Notices
To ensure that all parties are on the safe side, you then add the Legal Notices. These will be displayed to every recipient before they take over an asset. You are welcome to use our template text for this, but you should check internally whether additional notices (for example, regarding the exclusion of warranty) are necessary for your company.
Data Mapping
To ensure that your assets are prepared in an understandable and appealing way for all interested parties, you use mapping. Here, you link your seventhings fields with the standard fields of the Circularity Hub. For example, if you want a user to see more details about the object, you assign your internal field “Additional Information” to the Hub field “Item Description,” or the “Actual Location” from seventhings to the field “Current Location.”
Make sure to maintain these fields so that they are meaningful for potential recipients!
To change an assignment, drag the required seventhings field from the far left into the center to the corresponding position. Then delete (using the cross symbol on the right side) the field that was previously in this position and has now moved down one spot. Then click Save.
Tip:
Also use our AI Mapping at the top center! It supports you in assigning fields with the same content between seventhings and the Circularity Hub. Check the suggestions afterwards and click Save.
The top six fields in the Circularity Hub are mandatory and must be linked. You can delete any fields below these as needed. However, please keep in mind: if a field is empty, it will not be displayed to interested parties. Therefore, it is recommended to map all fields, even if they are rarely maintained. The more information available to interested parties, the more likely they are to decide to take over an asset (and the less asset waste is generated).
