Meaning of the inventory date
The inventory date indicates when room information was last stored in the object.
Crucial for this is the field Actual Room. During an inventory, the values for Actual Room are set or updated for the first time.
The time when a user sets the Actual Room is recorded as inventory date.
When is the inventory date set?
The inventory date is automatically updated and cannot be set by the user.
A change of the inventory date occurs in the mobile app when
an object is opened via the object list, the field Actual Room is manually set, and then saved,
an object is scanned, the field Actual Room is set, and then saved,
an object is captured via manual search in the camera view, the field Actual Room is set, and then saved.
A change of the inventory date occurs in the web application when
Actual Room is set via the detail view of the object and then saved,
Actual Room is changed via the Replace Values function for one or more objects.
The inventory date can be deleted in the web application using the function Reset Inventory Data.
Meaning of the scan date
The scan date indicates when the optical code (barcode, QR code, DataMatrix) or an RFID code of the object was last scanned.
When is the scan date set?
The scan date is automatically updated by the app and cannot be set by the user. The timestamp corresponds to the actual scan time and not the time it is saved, so it can be a few seconds before the update date.
It is always set when
a label is scanned via camera scan and then saved,
an object is identified via optical character recognition (OCR) and then saved,
an object is captured via manual search in the camera view and then saved,
RFID labels are recognized via RFID scanner and then saved.
The scan date can be deleted in the web application using the function Reset Inventory Data.
