Requirement: The feature "Geotracking" is active.

Description

The feature captures the coordinates where the smartphone / scanner was located during the last object scan and writes them in the field "Last scan coordinate".

When is the position recorded?

Scan coordinates and thus the exact position of the last scan are recorded when:

  • Scanning a QR code with the camera

  • Scanning a QR code with the scan engine of a scanner

  • Scanning an RFID label with an RFID reader

  • Scanning via advanced scanning mode (OCR)

  • Manual searching in the scan view

It is required that the inventory is then saved.

When is the position not recorded?

When the object is processed through the object list.

How accurate is the recording?

The determination of scan coordinates works outdoors usually much more accurately than indoors. While outdoors accuracies of less than 7 meters can be achieved, indoors we achieve accuracies of about 20 meters.

Where is the position displayed?

The position is displayed in the app in the detail view of the object.

The user can also see their own current position and can thereby estimate where the inventory is located. The position can be displayed on a map and on satellite images. For this purpose, the switch in the bottom right corner of the map is used.

Furthermore, the last recorded location will also be shown on a map in the Detailview in the web application
