Use the preselection to set the default room and location to be used for all subsequent scanned inventories. We show you how to set additional fields as preselection here:

First, open the seventhings app and log in. Then navigate to Scan Mode.

Now click on Edit to the right of 'Your Selection'.

Select the fields you want to include in the shortlist and click on their checkboxes to the left. You may need to click the Down Arrow to the right of 'More' to see the full list of choices. Once you have made your selection, press Save.

To write a specific value into the selected inventory fields for all subsequent inventories when scanning, do the following: In Scan mode, press on the inventory field you wish to assign a default value to.

Select or enter the desired value (depending on the field type).

When you are finished, you can check the values you have just preset in Scan mode and start scanning.
